I'm not a parent, but I think that I would be teaching my child (were he in a similar state) to say "Diabetes" instead of cookie while feeding him cookies. I would also hang a picture of Paula Dean in the bedroom. That way when the sugar gives them said disease later in life and they take insulin, they'd at least know where it came from. I would say, "No need to thank me. I know I'm a great parent."
