And then on Saturday, she gave me matching sweatshirts (Mine says "Soul," which when I saw it I said "Great, I love it!" because I didn't know yet that it was matching and thought maybe Sweetie was just saying I had soul, but hers says "Mate", so we got to be in love and embarrass the older kids),

and I left little notes around the house detailing various great memories I had of her from our nearly-two-decades together, and she gave me a box of candy, and we cooked matching pizzas together (only hers was more heart shaped, so mine had the pepperonis arranged into a heart), and then we watched the movie Annabelle after the boys went to bed, so all in all, a great Valentine's Day.
