There is a right way and a wrong way to play "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" (A Minute With Mr Bunches)

And the "right way" is however makes you happy.

I spent some time last night beginning to teach Mr F and Mr Bunches piano.  They were less resistant to it than I thought, in that Mr F went through three "Twinkle Twinkle Little Stars" before running upstairs.  Mr Bunches didn't actually start with "Twinkle," but went into "Old McDonald Had A Farm," and then finished with the crowd-pleaser we were all there for.

(I did make an effort to teach them the notes, which are labeled on the piano from way back when I made an effort to teach Oldest, Middle, and The Boy piano, too. Showing them the notes led to Mr Bunches saying "Can I use G?" I assured him he could.)

I do not know why the lighting is so red.  We don't live on Krypton, and there wasn't a giant wildfire surrounding the house or anything.  So let's just call it special effects and I will fix it when the Special Edition Blu-Ray comes out in 2039.

My daughter has been picking up the piano pretty much by herself because of the accordion. It's pretty cool. All I can play is that bit from Close Encounters.

You have a piano?

I wish I could play the accordion.

Yeah, it's my wife's that she's had since she was a kid. Of course, I grew up with a piano in my house, too, but I never learned to play it. No one could play it; my mom just thought it looked nice in the house.
