"Purple is a fruit." (Thinking The Lions)

Since my heart attack, I really try to eat healthy, "healthy" sometimes meaning "don't actually have a side dish with pizza since you know you're going to eat most of the pizza anyway" and sometimes meaning "actually make an effort to eat fruits or vegetables."

To that latter end, I resolved a while back to eat, every day for lunch, a fruit, or a vegetable.

Then I expanded the definition of "fruit" or "vegetable" to include "yogurt."

Then, last night, as I prepared my lunch for today, I noticed that we were out of fruits, vegetables, and yogurt.

But we had something that came in a cup and had a tearaway lid.

I'm really trying. Honestly.

I call bullshit. You had a heart attack and then ate a very unhealthy twinkie.

I think that life is about quality rather than quantity...I say that you should eat what you want...

I thought people didn't have heart attacks anymore... what gives?

Oh, my friend... you need to try harder. At least keep some fruit cups on hand for when you run out of fresh stuff. Then again, my own huge fruit and vegetable intake is inspired more by vanity (I prefer NOT to be house-sized) than health.

Funny.

Nice try, but perhaps this should be considered a mulligan day.
