Or should I say, "It is." ? Now I'm confused:

If "throwing rocks in the river" is the object of "that" in your sentence, then I should say "It is not," because I do not "grow out of" "that." But if "not a thing you ever grow out of" is the object, then I should say "It is."

I should've paid attention in 6th grade when they talked about direct vs indirect objects.
