Great Friends...(Middle)

I have the greatest friends in the world…

So I think that my friends are more than awesome. I think that people are jealous of me only because the friends that they have are not as cool as my friends (yes, I know, a little high school-ish but just go with it for intensive purposes). Anyway, so my friends are always making me laugh and sometimes making me laugh so hard that I start to cry. Or make me laugh so hard that I get grossed out.

I have many friends (I am lucky that way) but one friend in particular has the ability to gross me out as well as make me laugh so hard that I start to cry.

My friend, whom we will call Jenna, works with me at the hospital (but I won’t be working there much longer, yay BIG GIRL job!) and we started at about the same time. Since we started at about the same time we have stuck together and by one another because we were the new kids on the block (No that was not a band reference although I love their music).

So we have been getting to know one another and hanging out and going out to lunch here and there and working more and more with one another. We always have a great time when we work because we laugh and never stop talking when we are together. The atmosphere is great when we are around one another. Like two peas in a pod. Well the other day we had a conversation that didn’t last long but it brightened the mood entirely.

We were both having kind of a rough day. She was stressed out about her classes and I was stressed out about working for 14 hours that day so we were both kind of quiet. But as I was cleaning the grill, across the kitchen Jenna yells something to me…

“Hey, do you want these?” She asked me.

“What are they?” I couldn’t quiet tell what they were from that distance so I moved a little closer and saw what they were.

“Are those Oreos?” I asked her.

“Yeah...” She seems shocked that I was asking here what they were.

“But you just took those out of your pocket.” I said.

“Yeah...” Again shocked…

“Jenna, why do you have Oreos in your pocket?” I asked her.

“I was cleaning today…” She said. Now I was shocked.

That was the end of the conversation and we both laughed for like twenty minutes but it made me wonder…where were those Oreos before they were in her pocket?

Oh well. In third world countries people eat dog food. Dirty OREOS at least might improve the immune system.

Maybe it's just me, but I'm a little disturbed at the way this hospital kitchen is run. Gordon Ramsay would never approve of pocket Oreos. And we should all constantly be saying to ourselves, 'What would Gordon Ramsay do?', and then punching ourselves in the brain for knowing who Gordon Ramsay is.

But it does take a good friend to offer you her pocket Oreos. And a trusting friend with a strong stomach to accept them.

Well I was a good friend and let her keep them....
